Restored my iMac form backup (without this issue), but RAID5 partition again - read only. Now copying all data from RAID, to make a format on RAID partition, but what can I do to prevent from this bug again? A 240GB model has performance benefits over an 80GB model. Note that the performance of an SSD within a series also depends on its capacity. I think should shut down the pegasus before installing simple security updates on my iMac, but I just forgot to shut it down. The hardware setup for the RAID tests are Intel DC S3500 series 80GB SSDs, an Avago (formerly LSI) MegaRAID 9365 RAID controller and a Supermicro X9SCM-F motherboard. AMD provides drivers for AMD fakeRAID on their website. Have one physical drive on slot6 (stand alone from RAID5) it mounts perfectly. promise utility shows no problems at all with any of the physical drives for some reason my mac thinks there's something wrong with it, but as far as i can see it's completely fine. I can browse the pegsaus drive fine, all the files seem to be there as far as i can see. Let’s compare this to Raid 0, which has superior read and write performance. The only option is to create a new RAID 0, install a clean OS and copy your data over. If a drive in a raid 1 config fails, then not all data is lost, and the drive can be reconstructed sometimes depending on what OS or software you use. Intel and AMD runs on different motherboard raid controllers so it won't work between the two. back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can. Raid 1 doesn’t improve read performance, but instead improves redundancy and fault tolerance. Os x can’t repair the disk “raid.” you can still open or copy files on the disk, but you can’t save changes to files on the disk. When i boot my mac i get an error dialog popping up saying: After security update Mac OS Sierra 2018-002
